Les Grandes Vignes - Presentation

Between the rivers Loire and Cher, in the very heart of the Touraine Region, in the Val de Loire, the Domain "Les Grandes Vignes" spreads over 5.5 ha of land, completely closed by an antique wall. Located near the village of Pontlevoy and its famous Abbey ( less than 1 kilometer) several old buildings stand on this domain. To start with, a small castle, touraine styled, where the owners leave today, built at the beginning of the XIX Century; a small farmer house just nearby, and an old wine press, which has been, now a days, transformed into a guest house. All this is surrounded by gardens, a small wood and a lawn where the guests can relax.
The geographic location of "Les Grandes Vignes" is really outstanding. In fact, Pontlevoy is at the "carrefour" of the routes that lead the visitors to the most famous places of the region. Less than twenty minutes drive from there and you may discover the French castles, reminiscent of the French and European history of that period: Chenonceau, Chambord, Blois, Cheverny, Montpoupon, Amboise, Chaumont and so many others. All around, the prestigious vineyards of the Loire region: Oisly, Théseé, Montlouis, Vouvray, Chinon and their fantastic cellars. Amongst castles and grapes, restaurants offer the highest French cooking, with the "touraine" accent. And of course, we should not forget the Abbey of Pontlevoy, the Pagode de Chateloup and the fortress of Montrichard. For nature lovers, they may walk or ride through well-maintained paths. Last, but not least, for sport lovers, golf, horse riding, and tennis.
