Figeac is a very ancient estate. Its history goes back at least as far as the 2nd century. During this Gallo-roman period the Figeacus family gave their name to the "villa" they established on this site.
The present château, whose main building dates from the late 18th century, incorporates vestiges of the Middle Ages and Renaissance thus attesting to its long history.
