Its nine hectares of land includes a chapel , a traditional pigeon house and 19th century outbuildings all of which have been sympathetically and elegantly restored with a view to guarding its heritage and beauty as well as its place in art and literature . During your stay , you can also take advantage of viewing the paintings by the well-known artist and part owner .
Five rooms , named after famous Fench authors, George Sand, Victor Hugo, Marcel Proust, Marguerite Yourcenar and Pierre Loti, have either a double bed or two single beds and thus are both comfortable and charming . Each room is fully equipped with bathroom or shower and w.c.
In the extensive grounds there is a gite for two to four occupants reached through a private courtyard and a romantic garden which also contains an ancient shepherd's hut .
