Visits

The outside visit

The Park surrounding the Chateau was designed in the 19th century and
redone in the 20th, according to plans by the Duchene Cabinet. It is being preserved.

The inside visit
From May 1st to June 30th and from September 1st to September 30th : Saturday and Sunday from 2 pm to 6 pm.
From1st July to 30 August : Every afternoon except on tuesday from 2 pm to 6 pm.

Closed from October 1st to May 1st
Today the Chateau of Montgobert houses the Museum of Wood bringing together
a collection of tools, and objects relating to wood and professions that work with wood (20 rooms exhibiting 3000 tools displayed in workshops).
Several rooms show the life of the region, hunting, types of trees, etc .
Another room shows life in Montgobert during World War 1 1914-1918.

A New room which shows the life of Pauline Bonaparte and Emmanuel Leclerc, former owners of the château in the beginning of the 19th century.
