Bienassis is a fortified castle. Built in 1400 for John 1 of Quelenec, it was partly destroyed during the League Wars. Rebuilt around 1620 by Gilles Visdelou, it became through mariage, the property of the Earl of Lamarck and then of the Duke of Arenberg. Then in 1760 it became the property of the Earl of Ville-Theart who was the commissary of the haras of Bretagne.Transformed into a prison during the Revolution, it has been the Kerjegu family's property since 1880.

Bienassis is a very complete ensemble consisting of : a large avenue planted with oak and beech trees, wide moats, ramparts, a main courtyard and French gardens. The castle and outbuildings are built with rose-coloured sandstone from Erquy.
The fireplace and stairecases date from the 15th and 17th centuries.
The chapel, the main drawing-room, the dining-room, are used by the family.
