Château Beaumont is on the siteof a former mansion belonging to the Marquess of Allègre. This splendid property is in exceptionally good location, overlooking the stategic site of Fort Cussac and the medieval fortress of Blaye on the opposite bank of the Gironde. The Château was built in 1854 by Mr Bonnin, and is a treasure of light Mansart architecture.
